It is learned that while 12 of 28 municipalities’ websites have been put under maintenance, 16 of the municipalities’ websites are still active.

Trustees were appointed to 28 municipalities over the charges of providing logistic support to PKK and FETÖ. After appointing trustees to the municipalities, some of the websites of the municipalities are being put under maintenance while the others are still active.

According to the information compiled by ILKHA; the websites of municipalities of Batman, Hakkari, Sur, Silvan, Dargeçit, Derik, Nusaybin, Bulanık, Silopi, Hınıs, Edremit and Erciş have been put under maintenance.

One of the reasons of putting these aforesaid websites under maintenance is that these sites had outlawed organizations’ propaganda contents. And also it is learnt that one of the other reason of shutting some of the websites is that their control panels were under the control of other DBP/HDP municipalities’ webmasters.

Deputy Governor Ertuğ Şevket Aksoy who was appointed as a trustee to Batman Municipality told ILKHA about the reasons of closing the websites. Aksoy said: “we are designing a new website. The website will have a particular part pertained to me so that our compatriots are going to be able to contact me about their problems directly and easily. This part is going to be viewed only by me.
