Experiencing sufferings after a plot set by parallel structure in 2010, members of Adıyaman Vahdet-Der demanded their grievances to be redressed.

Following formal procedure, Vahdet-Der was established and started to act within its internal regulations. Vahdet-Der members were raided at dawn by parallel state police and taken under custody like ‘terrorists’ and they were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment.

The elements of parallel structure located in police and juridical system terrorized Islamic sect of society and sentenced the association members and managers over Islamic and humane relieve activities such as protesting the USA and Israel, attending funerals, holding Holy Birth Event, providing accommodation for poor students and helping the indigents.  

People, who don’t have even a pocketknife as evidence, sentenced aggravated imprisonment

After the lawsuit against association members, who don’t have a pocketknife as evidence, the court sentenced head of Kahta Muztazaf-Der Mustafa Yetiş for 10 years 6 months, Adıyaman Vahdet-Der manager Ahmet Yıldırım for 9 years, the other members Ahmet Kalan, Hüseyin Demir, İsmail Alpaydın and Kamil Demiral for 7 years 6 months.

Witnesses of these sufferings, Prophet Lovers Coordinator Bilal Demir and children of other victims talked to ILKHA.

“Deputy Governor scheduled an appointment at 14 but waited us till 16”

Demir told us what he experienced at that time that “those who raised difficulties against us in police department and governorship office now all have been arrested. When we want to get any authorization for any activities, deputy governor gave us an appointment at 14.00 but he always waited us till 16.00. they were mocking us. It was also mentioned in local media that our Holy Birth Event was politically sabotaged, the parallel guys said to us that ‘we will never let you hold a Holy Birth Event’.

“We were fined 5000 lira due to a 1 lira in a mug”

Indicating that they were fined 5000 lira during a police raid in association office due to a 1 lira found used for food expenses in a mug, Demir said that; “by smearing and threatening the youth, police officers were trying to interrupt our activities, but these police now are in worse situation with the grace of Allah.

“Samanyolu Tv on, and Zaman newspapers on the table at every room”

Pointing that police were raiding houses like a terrorist cell house with hundreds of police to defame the association workers, Ali Çelik, chairman of HUDAPAR provincial office, told about what he lived when he went to police station to learn their situation. Çelik said:

“Every time when I went there to ask my friends’ case, they took me different rooms in which Samanyolu Tv (Gulen group Tv channel) is on and Zaman ( Gulen Group’s major media outlet) newspapers are on the tables. They implied that you have to obey us otherwise you will become so.”

“I tried to warn AK Party deputies about parallel state in 2012 but they didn’t believe us”

Indicating that even though he presented a file to AK Party Adıyaman deputies about parallel structure to emerge their plots, they didn’t take any step to relief peoples’ grievances, Çelik said the people around deputies are also from this group.

Reminding that police chiefs and deputies of governors are not under arrest after attempted coup, Çelik said that however he tried to warn AK Party deputies about parallel structure in 2012, they didn’t believe us, at that point after revealing all of their plots, people who were grieved by this group need to be compensated.

“We don’t demand amnesty but a retrial from Ministry of Justice”

Stating that their house was raided by 20-30 special operation policemen carrying long barrel barrels as if they were seizing a notorious murderer, İbrahim Yıldırım, son of Ahmet Yıldırım who was also sentenced in the same plot, told about their sufferings:

“After this police raid we received negative reactions from our neighbors. There were even some people turning their faces when we greeted them. When it is looked from outside my father seems like a terror organization member. We have some relatives back us and some others turn away from us. After my father was put into jail we have tried to run our business with my brother. Our neighbors constantly ask us what your father’s guilt whereas he seems quite a humble person. Why is he in prison? We really got tired of explaining people that he did nothing wrong. He is barely a victim of parallel structure. At that point we don’t demand amnesty but a retrial from Ministry of Justice.” (ILKHA)
